RichmondAgency.ca exists for one kind of client: a Richmond business that sells to customers in more than one language and wants its marketing to reflect that, without paying for translations nobody reads. We plan and run that marketing, give owners straight advice on where to grow, and bring in qualified translators for every word a customer sees in a language other than English.
The company behind the site
This site belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. The group is Canadian, keeps its head office in Vancouver, British Columbia, and works with clients across the country. Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company for growth, marketing and technology, and it is the home of brands such as HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the Canadian firm Ali founded for work on strategy, AI and faster revenue growth.
This site belongs to the Trades.Agency family, the group's home for trades and local-service marketing. Its prices, terms and methods come from that family; its focus on Richmond's languages and planning areas is its own.
What we are, and what we are not
RichmondAgency.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service for trades, home-service firms and local businesses in Richmond. We are not a contractor: we don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't take jobs on your behalf. We are not a lead reseller, so enquiries we generate go to you alone.
We are also not a translation agency. That distinction matters in Richmond. A marketer who claims to write fluent Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog and Punjabi copy alone should make you cautious. We write the strategy and the English brief, hire or work with your chosen professional translators, and run a second review before anything is published. The translation review guide describes those steps.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi leads the group and every strategy that goes out under this name. His MBA is in Technology Management. His digital marketing career began in 2007, when he set up ONE.ir, a full-service agency, so he now has more than 17 years in the field. He now lives and works in Vancouver.
Later ventures include Conv.ca, an agency devoted to conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca; at SAZ.ca he is Founder and Managing Partner. His clients have included businesses in Canada, the USA and Dubai. In the heating and cooling sector he has built more than 150 live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and BCWide.ca. Those projects are where the group's published results come from, and we present them on the results page as results from our HVAC work, not as proof in other trades.
How we work with Richmond businesses
Our working habits are simple and written down:
- Numbers before tactics. We start from your average sale, margin and close rate, and work out what you can afford to pay for an enquiry in each language.
- One language at a time. New languages are added only after the plan shows they can pay for themselves, and each one is measured separately.
- People for translation. Customer-facing copy in a second language comes from qualified translators, never from a machine alone.
- You own everything. Website, ad accounts, profiles and data are set up in your business's name.
- Plain monthly reports. Spend, enquiries, cost per enquiry and booked customers, broken down by language and service.
- No lock-in. Plans are month to month with 30 days' notice, so we keep earning the work.
Why a Richmond focus
Richmond is unusual enough to deserve its own playbook. Close to half of residents reported Cantonese or Mandarin as their mother tongue in the 2021 Census, apartments outnumber single-detached houses, and the city's commercial life runs from Steveston's waterfront to the No. 3 Road corridor and the airport on Sea Island. A plan written for a generic Canadian suburb misses most of that. The areas page sets out how we map it.
If you want to see whether this approach fits your business, look over the services and then call, text or email. You will speak with a senior strategist, not a sales team.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns RichmondAgency.ca?
The owner is the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, whose head office is in Vancouver, BC. Within the group it belongs to the Trades.Agency family, which focuses on trades and local service businesses.
Does anyone on the team speak Cantonese or Mandarin?
We don't claim in-house language skills on this site. Customer-facing translations are written by qualified professional translators, and reviewed by a second fluent reader, because that is the reliable way to get them right.
Do you work only with HVAC companies?
No. The group's published case studies come from HVAC work, but this site serves Richmond trades, home-service firms and other local businesses. We say clearly which results are from heating and cooling.
Where is your office?
The group is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and meets clients by video call or in person, as well as by phone, text and email. We don't list a Richmond street address because we don't have one.
